This is a Mora wood turkey trumpet. Mora wood has wonderful properties that make it an excellent choice for turkey trumpets. It is a beautiful wood and is extremely hard and that helps with shedding of the moisture from using the call. Excess moisture can change the internal dimensions of the call through use. This wood is often used in boat building. This excess moisture can effect the sound the call produces.
