This is a Laos Ivory wood turkey trumpet. This is a treasured wood and very rare find for the US market. Most of this wood stays in Laos for their carving trade. Laos Ivory Wood has wonderful properties that make it an excellent choice for turkey trumpets. It is a beautiful wood used as a substitute for elephant Ivory. It is a hard wood similar to hard maple and that helps with shedding of the moisture from using the call. Excess moisture can change the internal dimensions of the call through use. This excess moisture can effect the sound the call produces. This call sports a black Delrin mouth piece, a rubber lip stopper and a brass engraved transition band. Call bag and lanyard included.
